John Michael Severit, 35, of the Big Lake area, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
John was born July 29, 1986 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. December 11, 2021 he married his best friend and long time love Jennifer (Severit). Together, they traveled down the East coast and back making several stops along the way to share the beauty of God's country and "make memories."
John was a man of many talents. He wrote poetry, could draw, tattoo and could build a house from the foundation to the roof. He was also skilled in welding. John had an infectious smile that would light up any room he was in. He was always willing to lend a hand and gave without expecting in return of his time, money, and talents. John had an adventurous soul. He cherished time spent with his Grandparents, at their home on Big Lake. He enjoyed skiing, knee boarding, and riding the wave runner. He also spent countless hours fishing there. John's Grandparents made a special lifelong impact on his heart. They gave him love and acceptance. His heart was huge and full of love. He showed that and poured it out on all of his nieces and nephews. He always took them a surprise when he visited. Scott Livengood was John's best friend since the first bus ride in kindergarten. They were like true brothers. John touched many hearts and lives in his short time here with us. He will be dearly missed by all and never forgotten. He will always me "my lovey."
John is survived by his wife, Jennifer Severit, mother Connie Severit, step-dad Doug Lamboley, his beloved grandmother Janet Studle, father James Severit, step- mom Angela, brother Jimmy (Charity) Severit, three sisters, Shauna Severit and companion Eric Watson, Keesha (David) Bloemker, Alyssa (Justin) Miller, his best friend Scott Livengood. Also, John's many nieces and nephews. Echo and Maddox Gamble, Finnlee Bloemker, Kaden, Kolton, Johanna, and Ivory Rahl, Sid, Lucy and Libby Severit, Brantley, Baxter and Bronx Miller. He loved them all very much.
