Kevin A Dunkelberger, 31, of Fort Wayne passed away on August 1, 2022, surrounded by love after a valiant lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis. Kevin was born March 22, 1991, in Ft. Wayne. He was passionate and creative. Kevin played percussion in the Bishop Dwenger band and drum line. Despite his frequent illnesses, he completed a BS in computer science at Indiana Tech. He was Systems Engineer at Frontier Communications.
God granted him gifts of logic and strategy. He used these talents while spending time with family and friends as they played games in person and online. Kevin appreciated that gaming could bring groups together in understanding and joy.
His love of gaming led him to design several board games. He spent Monday and Thursday nights leading an international play testing group - refining his own games but, more importantly, helping others with his insight and kind, generous guidance.
Kevin is survived by his parents Kirk and Karen Dunkelberger; siblings Julia (Steve) Baker and Carl Dunkelberger; grandparents Jim and Kathy Zimmerman; nieces, Lorelai, Charlotte, Marianne and Briella; His beloved cat Max and many aunts, uncles and cousins both formal and informal.
