LAWRENCE E. LOTHAMER, 93, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022, at Park Place Senior Living, Fort Wayne. Born Jan. 8, 1929, in Fort Wayne, Lawrence was a son of the late Cletues E. and Anna Marie (Lucas) Lothamer. He married Marcelline H. (Pequignot) Lothamer, who survives, on Sept. 11, 1948. He was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church and LaGrange American Legion Post 215. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corp during Wordl War II and the Korean War and was honored on an Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana in 2015. He was a Mechanical Engineer at International Harvester retiring in 1986 after 36 years of service. He loved to hunt, fish and the outdoors in general. Surviving along with his wife are two daughters, Janet (Kevin) Galbreath and Elaine (Jerry) Campbell; one son, Michael (Vickie) Lothamer; two brothers, James H. Lothamer and Herbert Lothamer; two sisters, Rosemary Grist and Geraldine Bailey; daughter-in-law, Nancy Lothamer; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. Lawrence was also preceded in death by a son, David Lothamer; six brothers, Cletus Jr., Edward, Paul, Donald, Robert, and Charles Lothamer. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Saint Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with the Rosary being recited at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, with U.S. Marine Corps Military Rites.
