Linda C. Baker

Linda C. Baker 79 passed away peacefully March 16, 2023 while in Hospice at Parkview Hospital. She was born October 1, 1943 in San Diego, CA. She is a graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1961. During her working career she was employed by Xerox Corporation for 27 years, positions include Receptionist, Secretary and Office Manager. Before her retirement she was a one girl office. She was also employed working both full and part time with LS Ayers and later Macys for 20 years. She retired from Macys in 2008.

Linda served our country in the US Navy as a Yeoman 2nd class, with two years active duty and four years in the Naval Reserves. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven, IN where she volunteered in the office with mailings and other duties.She found enjoyment in taking care of her garden and visiting with family. She loved to travel and shop. Her favorite pastime was taking care of her two beautiful cockatiels.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick R. Koverman Jr. and Marjorie A Morgan Koverman. She is survived by her sister Kathryn Koverman of Fort Wayne and son William F. Baker, his wife, Michelle Baker, their children, Rachel and Nicholas Baker of New Haven, IN.

Calling will be at Divine Mercy Funeral Home Tuesday, March 21,2023 from 10 to Noon with Service at Noon and burial immediately after in the Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.

In lieu of flowers it is Linda’s wish that donations be made in her name to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven, IN.
