Loraine Mae Brown

Loraine Mae Brown, 92, of Fort Wayne died December 11, 2021 at her home in Fort Wayne, IN. Loraine was born to the late Godfrey and Veronica Gutgsell on September 13, 1929. She was an active member of St. Jude's Catholic Church. She worked as a legal secretary into her eighties and sold Avon for many years. Loraine was  totally selfless and devoted to family and raising her children in the Catholic Faith. She is survived by her daughter, Veronica (Michael) Carroll; six sons, Michael (Eugenia) Brown, Timothy (Toni) Brown, Eric Brown, Daniel (Nancy) Brown, Jeff (JoAnn) Brown and Keith Brown; four sisters SR. Betty Gunselman; Barb Berger; Mary Lehkuhler and Patty (Jerry) Sermersheim; three brothers Larry (LouAnn) Gutgsell; Jim (Louise) Gutgsell and Dave (Rosie) Gutgsell; 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Loraine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Brown, children Steven and Karen; sister Irene(John) Hoban and Lucille (Jack) Bies;brothers Robert (Rosie) Gutgsell, Sylvester Gutgsell;  brother in laws Ralph Gunselman, Ed Lehmkuhler and Dave Berger.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Saturday, December 18, 2021 at St Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr with calling one hour prior. Visitation will be held Friday, December 17, 2021, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm with a rosary at 4:30pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude's Catholic Church.
