Lyle J. Farrell

Lyle J. Farrell, 73, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday April 27, 2023. Lyle was born in Fort Wayne on December 21, 1949, the son of (the late) Howard and Mary (Imm) Farrell. Lyle married Mary (Eberhard) Farrell in St. Jude Catholic Church on June 20, 1970; Mary survives after 53 years of marriage. Lyle retired in 2003 as President of CTD, Inc. after 32 years with the company. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church; he was 3rd degree in the Knights of Columbus and he was devout in his faith, praying the Rosary daily. Lyle had enjoyed playing golf, scuba diving and more recently he liked working Sudoku puzzles. He cherished the times he spent with family & friends and especially with his grandchildren. Lyle was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He is survived by his wife Mary and their children, Matt Farrell of Ossian, Travis Farrell of Fort Wayne, Chad Farrell of Michigan City and Brad (Jessica) Farrell of Silver Lake; grandchildren, Codey, Lucas, Haylin, Brielle, Brianna, Jackson and Caden Farrell. In addition to his parents, Lyle was also preceded in death by an infant son, Jason Farrell and his grandson, Chase Farrell. Mass of Christian Resurrection is 11:00am Thursday May 4, 2023 in Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Road. Visitation is 10-11am Thursday in the church. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
