Margaret Rose Windle

Margaret Rose Windle, 94, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away in the arms of Jesus and Mary on September 28th, 2021. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Richard "Kingfish" Windle. Margaret is survived by her 8 children, 32 grandchildren, and 40 great grandchildren. She was a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Margaret attended mass daily, prayed the rosary and the Pieta Blue Book faithfully. Her motto was borrowed from Saint Padre Pio, "Pray, Hope, and Don't Worry." She was a published poet and author for Growing with the Saints, a Catholic VBS company. Margaret enjoyed life to the fullest. Some of her favorite things were hosting annual Easter egg hunts for her grandchildren, playing games, especially Boggles and Words with Friends. She loved visiting with family and friends, gardening, reading, music and guitar, and baking cookies. No longer is Margaret writing about the saints, but living amongst them. If Margaret were still with us she would say to everyone, “Have a happy forever!”

Memorial contributions in memory of Margaret can be directed to the Allen County Right to Life Foundation, 2126 Inwood Drive, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Saint Vincent Catholic Church, 1502 Wallen Rd with calling one hour prior.
