Margaret "Margo" Lawrence Ludwig

Margaret Lawrence Ludwig (Margo), 79, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on May 7, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 4, 1943, in Decatur, IL, to Charles and Margaret Lawrence. In 1965 Margo graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN, and loved and supported the St. Mary’s community throughout her life. She majored in elementary education and taught in Montgomery County Public Schools, MD. She married her husband, Jerry, in 1967. This union was blessed with 4 children, John (Beth) Ludwig of Westfield, IN, David (Jennifer) Ludwig of Granger, IN, Elizabeth (Matt) Caffrey of Carmel, IN and Thomas (Elizabeth) Ludwig of Carmel, IN. Her life and world revolved around the love of her grandchildren, Jessica (Michael) Bertuccio, Michael (Michele) Ludwig, Megan (Joel) Ocampo, and Sarah Ludwig; Morgan, Erin, Ryan, and Reagan Ludwig; Thomas, Allison, and Caroline Caffrey; and Grant and Owen Ludwig as well as the love of her great-grandchildren. Margo was a devout Catholic, loved the Blessed Mother, frequently volunteered at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and the Christ Child Society, and loved playing tennis with family and friends. Margo never met anyone during her life in whom she could not find good. She was an exceptionally treasured wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. A Mass of Christian Burial in memory of Margo will be held on,11:00am, Friday May 13, 2022, with visitation an hour before, at Our Lady of Good Hope, 7215 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46835. Calling also 2pm to 5pm and 6pm to 8pm, Thursday May 12, 2022, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home 3500 Lake Ave Fort Wayne, IN 46805. Burial Catholic Cemetery.
