Marilyn L. Hoffman

MARILYN L. HOFFMAN, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022. Marilyn was born in 1937. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. She graduated from Good Samaritan Nursing School - Dayton and was a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Hospital. Marilyn always made time for her family and friends. She remained active and especially enjoyed walking, gardening, and weekly dinner outings with her neighborhood friends and old work buddies. Marilyn is survived by four daughters, JoEllen Hoffman, Paula Hoffman, Mary Green, and Jean (Chris) Hoffman; son, Rick (Mary) Hoffman; and eight grandchildren. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Hoffman; brothers, John and Paul Garrett; and sisters, Pat McGeorge and Maxine Veit. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., with calling from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her favorite charity  - Humane Fort Wayne - due to her love of animals.
