Obituary
Marion W Aksamit Sr., 94, of Fort Wayne passed away July, 17, 2022. Marion was born May 2, 1928 in Wilber, NE, the son of the late William and Blanche (Pracher) Aksamit.
Marion was a member of the U.S Navy honorably discharged in 1948, graduated from Indiana Institute of Technology. He was married in 1949 to Marie. He worked for Farnsworth Television and Radio Corp, Bowmar, Beachcraft Aviation, and retired from VH Electronics.
He enjoyed wood working, stamp and coin collecting, and enjoyed trains. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Fort Wayne Engineers Club.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Marie Aksamit ; children, Marion W. Aksamit t Jr., Rita Aksamit , Nancy (Richard) Konzem; Sarah (Chase) Eaton, Catherine (James) Thomas and three additional grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Kathryn Sand.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Mary E. Petzel.
Services will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, IN or Humane Fort Wayne.
