Mary E. Ledwith, 82 was called home by our Lord on May 8, 2022, at Lutheran Life Villages in Fort Wayne, IN.
Mary was born March 5, 1940, in Plattsburgh, NY to Harry and Florence (Tamer) Vaughan. On November 28, 1959, she was joined in marriage to her beloved husband, Keron Ledwith at St. James Catholic Church in Cadyville, NY.
Following high school, Mary attended beauty school and afterwards worked for two decades as a beautician. She then worked as an accounts payable clerk until her retirement. However, her greatest pride and joy came from taking care of those she loved as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to cook for her family, especially her famous rolls which were always the favorite of any meal. Mary was a devoted disciple of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Parish. She prayed the Rosary daily and her enduring faith was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
She leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Keron Ledwith of Fort Wayne. Also surviving are her daughters, Lisa (Gary) Frentz of Monroeville, and Lana Ledwith of Plattsburgh, NY; a brother, Robert (Mary Lee) Vaughan of Cocoa, FL; and sister, Shirley Otten of Plattsburgh, NY; and grandchildren, Amanda (Benjamin) McCarthy and Eric (fiancée Tabitha) Frentz.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents as well as two brothers, Harry Jr. and Richard Tom Vaughan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday May 14th at 11am at St. Joseph Hessen Cassel 11337 Old Decatur Road South Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Burial in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to masses in her name at St. Joseph Hessen Cassel.
