Mary M. Wuest

Mary M. Wuest, 84, of Fort Wayne, Ind., passed away peacefully at home on May 28, 2022.
Born Jan. 6, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Karl) Kayser. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in New Haven where she was President of the St. Vincent DePaul Society for 20 years. Mary was a homemaker and cared deeply about her faith, her family, and loved time spent with grandchildren. Her passion was helping those in need; until her last days she wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of.
Mary is survived by her children: Joseph (Liz) of Littleton, Colo., John (Sue), Lawrence (Becca), Thomas (Tami); and Jeanne (Sean) Carroll, all of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Robert (Amy), Matthew, Gareth (Ally), Ian (Jaci), Dalen (Stephanie), Joanna (Briana), Stephen (Shelby), David, Kevin, Larson, and Shea and 5 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sisters Kathy Cousino and Julie Nowicki. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jerry Wuest and her sister Anne Duvall. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am, Thursday, June 2, 2022 at St. John Catholic Church New Haven, with calling one hour prior. Burial will be in Saint John Catholic Cemetery, New Haven.
