Matthew A. Ostermeyer

Matthew A. Ostermeyer, 46, of Fort Wayne, passed away suddenly Wednesday April 12, 2023 at his residence. He was born on May 17, 1976 in Decatur to Anthony Ostermeyer and Michelle Ross. On July 9, 2005 he married Julie Garcia. Mr. Ostermeyer worked as a Field Service Engineer for Philips Heath Care. He attended Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Fort Wayne. For several years Matt was a coach for Saint Joseph Little League. Matt was an avid golfer and loved to play music, but, most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his children. He is survived by his wife, Julie; Children, Keaton, Madison, Braxton and Isabelle; parents, Anthony Ostermeyer and Michelle Ross; brother, Andrew (Jenna) Modica; and mother-in-law, Esther Garcia. Preceding him in death were maternal grandparents, Ralph and Pat Ross; paternal grandparents, Arnold and Evelyn Ostermeyer; and father-in-law, Juan Garcia. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne at 10:30 am. Visitation will be Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm with the rosary at 3:30 pm.
