Michael A Stanczak, 84, of Huntertown passed away December 23, 2021. Michael was born and raised in Logansport, IN. He enlisted in the US Army soon after graduating from Logansport High School. Michael the completed machinist school after basic training and then was selected for Atomic Weapons School at Sandia Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Afterwards he was assigned to Armed Forces Special Weapons Project in Texas for the remainder of enlistment. He then attended Alliance Technical Institute in Pennsylvania and received an Associate Degree in Applied Science. Michael then came to Fort Wayne in 1959 and worked for Fort Wayne Tool & Die and Windamatic Systems for over 40 years. He traveled the world installing and services stator winding equipment for both companies. Michael was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
Michael is survived by his wife of 61 years Jacquelyn; children, Phillip (Synthia) Stanczak, Gregory (Tania) Stanczak, Suzanne (Rick) Nafziger and Kathryn (Timothy) Longenbaugh; sisters, Dolores Stanczak, Elizabeth Stanczak and Theresa Stanczak; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.. Michael was preceded in death by his parents Michael A. and Stella Stanczak, Sr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 pm Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road with calling one hour prior. Visitation will also be held 5-7 pm Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
