Muriel A. Eagan, 84, of Fort Wayne passed away Monday, August 2, 2021. Muriel was born in Jackson, Michigan to the late Herbert and Helen Kenny. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She trained as a dental hygienist and then later worked as a bookkeeper for Peters and Terrill Law Offices, Commonwealth Land Title Co. and was a receptionist for ITT Defense. Muriel enjoyed knitting, reading, crafts, cards, collecting Hummel figurines, travel and spending time with family and friends.
Muriel is survived by her husband Bill; two daughters, Patricia Beller, Raleigh, NC and Beth Anne (G Scott) Gmitter of Maumee, OH; son, Todd (Elaine) Eagan of Auburn, IN; and sister, Mari Craft of Jackson, MI; sister in-law, Janet Kenny; grandchildren Kate and Kevin Beller, Grant and Gretchen Gmitter, Samantha, Olivia and Reid Eagan. Muriel was preceded in death by sisters, Marilyn Harrington and Helen Seeling, and brother, Michael Kenny.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Friday, August 6, 2021 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road with calling one hour prior. Visitation will also be held 4-8 Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne.
Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Hospice Home or St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.
