Nancy Marie Kinney, 96, of Fort Wayne passed away peacefully at home on August 6, 2022. Nancy was born August 5, 1926, in Decatur, IN, a daughter of the late Harold and Antoinette Daniel. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Fort Wayne, a devout Orthodox Roman Catholic woman, and regularly visited Guerin Chapel, and spent her life in prayer. Nancy graduated from Decatur Catholic High School, obtained a degree from Purdue University Doctor of Pharmacy and owned her own pharmacy on Fairfield Avenue. She went on to retire from the Fort Wayne VA Medical Center as a pharmacist. She was a member of Secular Franciscan, St. Vincent De Paul Society, Our Lady of Fatima Postulates, and Fort Wayne Altrusa Club. Nancy was wholly devoted to her family, enjoyed cooking, knitting, and was a seamstress. In her spare time, she also enjoyed music, reading, gardening, politics, and was a true patriot. Nancy played trombone and the piano. She will be remembered for her scintillating sense of humor and coversation. Nancy is survived by son, Robert (Cindy) Kinney; six grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren with two on the way. Nancy was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph Daniel, and Frank Daniel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4500 Fairfield Ave with calling one hour prior.
