On July 29, 2020, Nelleta "Nellie" Reidenbach, 95, departed this life on earth and met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, renewing her walk with her beloved husband Carl.
The only daughter of Lee and Grace Sidle, she was born October 26, 1924, in Van Wert, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her brothers Oswin, Lowell, and Wayne and one grandson, James.
Nellie worked at the canning factory and the National Seal as part of the war effort during WWII. After raising their two daughters, she rejoined the workforce and retired from General Telephone in Fort Wayne in the 90s. Her life was filled with her love of gardening, family, travelling, and supporting the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Nellie and Carl met and married when he returned home to Convoy after serving in the Army Air Corps in the Burma China theatre. They were blessed with two daughters, Rosemary (Wayne) Latham and Marilyn (George) Miranda. Nellie is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Philip, Kari, Chris, Libby, Amy, Lisa, Beth, and Rachael; 2 step grandchildren, Andrea and Tony; 18 great grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren.
Funeral ceremony will be 1:30 pm, Monday, August 3, 2020 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 S. Anthony Blvd with calling one hour prior. Masks are required. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, Allen County Cancer Society, or Wounded Warriors.
