Beloved Father and PAPA, Nicholas Mavronas, 91, of New Haven, IN passed away on his 91st birthday April 25th, 2022 at Brookdale Senior Living Home. He was surrounded by his loved ones as he peacefully succumbed to his battle with Leukemia.
Nicholas was born April 25th, 1931 in Corfu’ Greece, a son of the late George and Ellen Mavronas.
He served in the Greek Navy and relocated to the United States when he was 25 years of age.
Nicholas was fond of reading his Greek Newspaper, Greek dancing, watching his big screen TV, was a WWE’s John Cena’s fan and could be found smoking like a chimney.
He was a devoted PAPA to his grandchildren, which he adored. He lived his life giving of himself for his family.
Nicholas is survived by his daughter, Ellen (Duane) Kastner; grandchildren, Anthony (Amy) and Nicholas Annunziata, Cameron Kastner; great-granddaughter, Delaney “Ellen” Annunziata;
step-daughters, Kathy Livingston, Debbie Plourde and Shelley Olson.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his brother, George Mavronas; sister Aspacia Rapsomaniki.
Viewing will be on Monday, May 2nd, 2022 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home,
3500 Lake Avenue from 11:00am to 1:00pm
Funeral Ceremony at 1:00pm, followed by burial at Leo Memorial Cemetery
