Patricia (Centlivre) Bonahoom, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Born October 10, 1934 in Fort Wayne, Patricia was the daughter of the late Mary Wobler Centlivre Poinsatte and Louis A. Centlivre II. Pat attended St. Jude and St. John the Baptist grade schools, Central Catholic High School and St. Mary’s College at Notre Dame.
She is survived by her husband of forty-two years, S. Norman Bonahoom and her six children, Joan (Bruce) Rikli, Karen Pierce, Dwight (Christine) Pierce, Ann (Greg) Baker, Susan (Skip) Reese and Jill (Andy) Woodward. She is also survived by four stepchildren Barbara (Dave) Rumsey, Greg (Coleen) Bonahoom, Bryan (Kathie) Bonahoom, and Jim (Lisa) Bonahoom. Pat is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren and twenty-one great children with three on the way. Pat is preceded in death by her twin brothers Louis and Bernard Centlivre, first husband, Guy E. Pierce, and granddaughter Kiersten Woodward. Her pride and joy were all her children and grandchildren.
She loved to embarrass her kids and grandkids by being goofy in public or in front of their friends. She was everyone’s best friend and confidante. Pat was known as the “hostess with the mostest” and she loved to play the Wheel of Fortune slot machine at the casino. Pat loved to oil paint, sew, and read as ways to relax. She was known to give advice to anyone who would listen.
Pat was known locally for her genealogy skills and was often hired by others to research their family lineage. She published her own research of the history of the Centlivre family entitled Centlivre, Footprints on the Pathway. She also was a past secretary of the Allen County Genealogy Society.
Pat was in the original training class for CASA volunteers, and she loved to give her time to help others in need.
