Patricia (McGiff) Hamlin

Patricia McGiff Hamlin, 86, of Fort Wayne passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022.  Patricia was born May 26, 1935, in Hartshill, Stoke-on-Trent, England.  She was a member of The English Club which consisted of a group of people who emigrated from Great Britain and gathered to reminisce.  Later in life Patricia attended Ivy Tech and gained an associate degree as a Qualified Medical Assistant.  She spent the last few years of her career at the State Hospital.  Patricia loved working in her flower garden and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Patricia is survived by her children, Susan Ann Bruggeman, Lynn R. Hamlin Beers, Steve A. Hamlin, Angela D. Hamlin Lake, Terry (Lisa) J. Hamlin, and Greg M. Hamlin; grandchildren, Sarah L. Loshe, Bridget L. Bruggeman, Anthony E. Bruggeman, Andrew E. Beers, Michael O. Beers, Randall J. Lake, Brandon A. Rodriguez, Ashley M. Hamlin, Austin M. Hamlin, Abby L. Hamlin; great grandchildren, Sean M. Loshe, Liam P. Loshe-DeFrancesco, Dylan P. Beers, Jacob I. Lake, Arabella L. Clevenger, Sebastian North, Analisea M. Hamlin, Analaya J. Hamlin, Kingston M. Hamlin and one on the way through Austin M. Hamlin.  Patricia was the last of 10 siblings to pass away.  She was also preceded in death by her former husband, Richard E. Hamlin.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. Graveside Service will be 11:00 am, Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.  Memorial contributions may be made to Fort Wayne Children's Zoo.
