Phyllis A Heinze, 87, of Angola passed away on November 8, 2021, in Fort Wayne, IN. Phyllis was born October 2, 1934, in Fort Wayne, the daughter of the late Leonard J. And Flora C. Sordelet.
Phyllis was a member of St. Anthony of Pauda Catholic Church in Angola. A woman of faith, prayer was her constant companion. She loved playing bingo and being crafty. Phyllis enjoyed watching sporting events, especially Notre Dame and the Chicago Cubs. Phyllis had many life-long friends, enjoyed being social, and was a member of many card clubs, lunch clubs, and Mahjong.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, John “Jack” Heinze; children Jan Lambarth, Jenny Heinze, John L. (Diane MacConnell) Heinze Jr., Joan Chantaca, and Jeff (Peg) Heinze; grandchildren, Suzanne, Dustin (Sophie), Amanda (Rick), Travis (Carmen) Patrick (Holli), Dr. Michael(Kari), Christopher, Allison (Dane), Jessica, David, Paige (Trace), Lia, Cesar (Hanah), and Lily (Fee); great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jason, Mason, Lily, Jocelyn, Austin, Lincoln, Corbin, Carlee, Caylee, Ada, Max, Brody, Braxton, and great-great grandchildren, Kaliah, Knowledge, and Shaylee.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her children, James Allen Heinze and Jacqueline Sue Lovejoy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am, Monday, November 15, 2021 at St Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr, Fort Wayne, IN 46805, with calling one hour prior.
Visitation will be held from 12 pm to 4 pm, Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
