Phyllis (Hartman) Klug, 95 of Fort Wayne, IN passed away at Towne House Retirement Community on Wednesday, December 23. Phyllis was born in Fort Wayne on September 18, 1925. She was a lifelong Fort Wayne resident and spent many summers at the family cottage on Sylvan Lake in Rome City, where she enjoyed entertaining friends and family. Phyllis loved playing cards, fishing with her husband Herman and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She worked at Lincoln National Bank and was a devoted volunteer at St. Theresa’s Parish in Waynedale, spending countless hours making crafts for the annual Christmas Bazaar fundraiser. Phyllis is survived by her son Dan (Vida) Klug of Fort Wayne, IN; daughters Julia (Jim) Zauner of New Jersey and Laura (Jon) Pfeffer of New York; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Herman Klug; son, Stanley Klug; great-grandson Drew Klug, and her best friend, Jeanne (Lynch) Lauer. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private service will be held. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Luers High School .
