Regina J. “Reggie” Goerss, 87, of Fort Wayne died April 1, 2022. Reggie was born June 18, 1934 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Felix and Marie (Kurkowska) Pawlowski. Reggie received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Michigan and had worked toward a master’s degree. She retired after last working for the Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne. Reggie is survived by four daughters: Cindy (Lyle) Jakacki-Null of Markle, IN, Margie (David) Davino of Holmdel, NJ, Regina "Reggie" Jakacki of Brookeville, MD, Mary Anne (Greg -Deceased) Young of San Diego, CA; and three sons: Joseph (Jennifer) Jakacki of Livonia, MI, Peter (Linda) Jakacki of Fort Wayne, Richard Jakacki, Rochester Michigan; as well as her beloved husband Bill’s children; 19 grandchildren: Wes, Alex, Chris, Josh, Becky, David, Bryce, Brandt, Brielle, Brooke, Cameron, Zoe, Max, Liam, Kyle, Craig and Connor as well as step-grandchildren Gregory James, Nora and Donald, special grandchildren Fred and Judah, and five great-grandchildren. Reggie was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Jakacki in 1988 and her second husband William Goerss in 2005 and her grandson Brad in 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Monday, April 18, 2022, at Our Lady of Good Hope, 7215 St Joe Rd with calling one hour prior. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery.
