Richard D. Giese

Richard D. Giese, 78, of Fort Wayne died May 26, 2022. Richard was born on December 11, 1943 in Fort Wayne. He was employed at International Harvester before finding his passion as a Massage Therapist for over 20 years. Which led him to be invited to give massages to athletes in 1987 at the Pan-Am games in Indianapolis and the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. He then assisted in opening a Massage Therapy school at the IU Med Center in Indianapolis. Richard is survived by a son Anton (Debbie) Giese, 2 daughters, Danielle Altekruse and Jennifer Ross , 2 sisters Joan Minnick and Diane Tuttle, brother Ronald Giese, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Richard was preceded in death by his wife 58 years Suzanne C Giese, mother, Lois Kranz and step father John Kranz. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Saint Peter Catholic Church, 518 E Dewald with calling one hour prior. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery.
