Robert J. Vodde

Robert J Vodde, 91, of Fort Wayne died February 5, 2021 at Kingston Care Center of Fort Wayne, Ft. Wayne, IN. Robert was born November 10, 1929 in Fort Wayne, and was the son of the late Albert and Helen Vodde. He worked at National Mill Supply for 38 years, retiring in 1992. He also work at Stuckey Brothers, Indiana Auto Auction and Fort Wayne Spring Service. Robert was a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and was a money counter there for 50 years, the St Vincent dePaul Society and Knights of Columbus. Robert is survived by his children;  Jeanne Heath of Lafayette, IN, Elaine (Ben) Johnston of Fort Wayne,IN and Karen (Mike) Hursh of Huntertown, IN, Connie (Rob) Plankenhorn of Indianapolis, IN, Sandy Williams of South Bend, IN and Marilyn (Chris) McCalley of Indianapolis, IN; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Marlene (John) Deiser of Fort Wayne, IN, Jeanette Hatfield of Fort Wayne, IN, Carol (Larry) Sievert of Wolcottville, IN; brother, James Vodde of Sun City, FL. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian M Vodde; grandchildren, Mary Kathryn, Andrew and Patrick;  sisters, Pat Altmeyer and Mary Ann Shoemaker; son-in-law John Williams; brother-in-law Denny Hatfield; sister-in-law Phyllis Vodde. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd with calling one hour prior. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2021, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with a rosary recited at 3:30 pm.  Entombment will be in Catholic Cemetery  , Fort Wayne. Memorial contributions may be made to Masses, St Vincent dePaul Society of Knights of Columbus, Kingston Rehab and Parkview Hospice.
