Rosanne (Gensheimer) Minich of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on April 24, 2023. Rosanne was born in Bloomington, IL on January 4, 1939, to the late Joseph and Rose Gensheimer. Her family moved to Fort Wayne, IN when she was in high school. She graduated from Central Catholic High School and soon after went to work at Magnavox. While raising her five children, she worked tirelessly to provide delicious meals and a lovely home and worked evenings at the Lookout Room at the Fort Wayne Airport to supplement the family income. She brought her children up in the Catholic faith and taught them the value of working hard in whatever they did.
In 1973 Rosanne pursued a career in real estate and began working for Roth, Wehrly, and Heiny Realtors where she had much success. In 1982 Rosanne moved to Las Vegas, NV where she worked for Fitzgerald’s Restaurant & Casino as a food server until she retired. She loved her job as it provided her with the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and kept her very active.
She was a kind, caring, and generous soul that always looked forward to new adventures. One of her most admirable qualities was that she always remained positive even in the most difficult circumstances. She loved going to the beach while visiting her daughter in Hawaii, spending time with her siblings when they visited, and cherished her trips back home, in which she especially looked forward to her annual bratwurst party with family.
Rosanne was preceded in death by her sons, Anthony (Cindy) Minich and Steven Minich; brother Robert (Maurine) Gensheimer; and brother-in-law, Don Shutt. She is survived by her daughters, Catherine Minich, Cindy Proulx, and Christine (Alan) Gunkel; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her sisters Mary Shutt, Susan Chelf, and Linda (Terri Saracino) Gensheimer; and her brother Edward (Teresa) Gensheimer.
