Obituary

Rose Mary Freeman, 79, of Fort Wayne passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022.  Born November 29, 1942, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late George and Marcella Sweeney.  Rosie graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1960.  She married Thomas Freeman in 1963.

Rosie was raising three children and entered the workforce too.  She worked for Colony Bay Apartments for 20 years then fortunately joined BND Commercial Real Estate and managed the properties for The Harrison at Parkview Field, Triangle Park and Centlivre Village Apartments.

Rosie enjoyed gardening, “staging” her families’ homes and all mediums of art.  She represented BND by entering her beautiful creations into the Festival of trees as well as the holiday window and office designs.  She received awards for her outstanding talent and hard work.

Rosie is survived by her loving husband, Thomas; daughter, Nannette (Charles) Wallin; sons, Patrick Freeman, and Timothy Freeman; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren; brothers, James (Linda) Sweeney, Joseph (Katy) Sweeney, and Jerome (Joni) Sweeney; sisters, Suzanne Hageman, and Elizabeth (Richard) Sherman.  Rosie was also preceded in death by granddaughter, Haley Freeman; brother, John Sweeney; and sister, Sallie Troyer.

The Freeman family would like to express our appreciation to every employee affiliated with BND Commercial Real Estate. Rosie has a wonderful family; however, she was so fortunate to belong to yours. Her work meant so much to her and we know your precious Rosie will be missed. Therefore, we offer our deepest condolences to you all.  God bless you. We would like to thank the Parkview Oncology Team for your kindness and support and thank you to Stillwater Hospice for providing Rosie with comfort, compassion and peace.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Inurnment will be private in Catholic Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Stillwater Hospice.
