Sharon A. DeTurk, 79, of Kendallville, originally from Fort Wayne, IN, passed away Friday, June 26, 2020. Sharon was born September 6, 1940 in Lima, OH, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Josephine Shaw. Her husband John “Jack” preceded her in death in 2005. She is survived by daughters, Kim DeTurk (Don) Bonnice of Dade City, FL; Teresa (Norm) Strater of Ashley, IN; granddaughter, Ashley (Eric) Stamper; grandson Andrew (Whitney) Strater; great grandchildren, Alayna and Annabelle Stamper, and a September due great grandson, Strater; brother Gary (Lynn) Shaw; and sister, Cheryl (Mark) Long. Sharon was also preceded in death by her brothers, Dennis Shaw, and Randy Shaw. For many years, she had fallen ill and resided at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville, IN. She enjoyed cooking, golfing and her dog, JJ and was a devoted Catholic. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. A private service will take place at a later date.
