Sharon Surine

Sharon Surine, 89, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, May 22, 2023 at Saint Anne’s Home in Fort Wayne. Sharon was born on March 31, 1934 in Fort Wayne and was the daughter of the late Paul and Gladys Phillips. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and a member of Saint Therese Catholic Church. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother; and enjoyed spending time with her family. Sharon is survived by daughters, Ann Budenz of Fort Wayne and Angela Shifflet of Toledo, Ohio; sons, Mark (Marcia) Surine of Roanoke and John (Marge) Surine of Gold Canyon, Arizona; sixteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Janet Jenkins of Fort Wayne. She was also preceded in death by sons, David and Daniel Surine; grandson, Christopher Shifflet; and sisters, Joan Braun, Jane Pierce and Nancy Gerard. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Saint Anne’s Home, 1900 Randallia Drive, Fort Wayne. Calling will be on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne.
