Stephen M. Batchelder

Stephen M. Batchelder, 75, of Fort Wayne died Friday, August 26, 2022.  He served in the Army during the Vietnam era. He was a mechanic at International Harvester and Holsum Bakery. He was a member and involved with American Legion Post 47.  Stephen enjoyed his 38 Plymouth and attending car shows. 

Stephen is survived by two daughters, Angie Murphy of Fort Wayne, IN, and Laura (Tim) Clauser of Fort Wayne, IN; sisters, Tootie Filler of Fort Wayne, IN, and Patricia (Robert) Foote of Bradford, PA; brothers, Larry Batchelder of Fort Wayne, IN, and John (Carolyn) Batchelder of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren Kennedey and Dyson Murphy, Brayden and Maddy Clauser. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Lucille  Batchelder, wife, Patricia Marie Batchelder, and brothers, Jerry Batchelder, and, Jimmy Batchelder. 

Funeral Service will be 5pm Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022, at The River Christian Church, 1515 Magnavox Way, Fort Wayne, IN 46804  with calling from 2:30-5pm. Arrangements by Divine Mercy Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana.
