Thomas P. Jackson, 82, of Fort Wayne died December 18, 2020, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born March 14, 1938 in Fort Wayne and was the son of the late Lewis and Angeline (Leis) Jackson. Tom was a faithful follower of Christ. He attended Central Catholic High School graduating in 1956. On May 10, 1958 he married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life Mary Ann (Giant). With the loving support of Mary Ann, he attended the International Business College, graduating in 1958. During this time, he joined the U.S. Navy Reserves and served for 8 years. As he and Mary Ann began their family, he worked tirelessly to provide for his wife and children. He began his accounting practice, Thomas P. Jackson, Inc., where he worked for over 50 years. He served his clients in a way not often seen; many became friends, as he was always looking for ways in which to help them and their families. Over the years, Tom and Mary Ann’s family grew to 6 children, 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Ever the dedicated husband and father, family dinners and attending his children’s and then grandchildren’s events were always a priority. He did this all while working many hours, setting an amazing example for all. He was involved at his children’s schools. Tom was an original member of the Bishop Luers Field Dads and the BLHS Bingo Club, an active member of the Kiwanis Club, a member of the Indiana Society of Public Accountants and a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Tom was a dedicated and loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a great man. So many people have been blessed to know him, to have loved him and to have been loved by him. Thomas is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann; sons, Kevin (Lori) Jackson of Warren, IN, Gregory (Rosie) Jackson, Gary (Natalie) Jackson; daughters, Kelley (John) Workman, Karen (Michael) Bickel all of Fort Wayne, IN; daughter-in-law, Karen Kerr Jackson of Woodburn, IN; 22 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Barb Jackson Lusk of Naperville, IL. Thomas was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Jackson; granddaughter, Tamara Kay Workman and brother, Gerald Jackson. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday December 22, at 11am, at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center RD with calling at 9:15am- 11am prior. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
