William J. Simunek

William J Simunek, 93, of Fort Wayne  passed away February 13, 2021. William was born in 1927 in Gregory, South Dakota . He was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.  He was a WW2 and Korean War Veteran. William was a retired Electrical Engineer at Magnovox. William is survived by three sons, James W (Jennie) Simunek, Cincinnati, OH, Thomas J (Micki) Simunek of Indianapolis, IN, Paul G (Robin) Simunek of Fort Wayne, IN; Daughter, Kathy M (Scott) Atkinson of Fort Wayne, IN; Brother, Emmanuel D Simunek of Dekalb, IL; grandchildren, Jeremy (Tia) Atkinson, Annie (Jonathan) Holmes, Sophie Simunek, Grace Simunek, Dutch Simunek,Kaiser Simunek, Brady Simunek and Kathleen Simunek; great grandchildren, Cady Atkinson, Colin Atkinson and Amara Holmes.  William was preceded in death by his wife Mary and brother Jerome. Prayer Service at 4:30 pm Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN visitation will be  2:00 pm - 4:30 pm.  Entombment will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
