Yolanda (Jo Ann) Alvarez
Yolanda was born May 19, 1941, in San Antonio, TX, passed peacefully on July 29, 2023, in Fort Wayne, IN. She was a lifelong human rights and environmental activist. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents, Raul and Felicita Alvarez, her brother, Jerry (Geronimo), and sister-in-law, Doris Taube. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Campbell (Jeff), grandsons, Christopher Steger (Ambuhr), Ryan Steger (Zin), and Tyler Campbell (Cindra), 9 great grandchildren, and brothers Ricardo, Alfred (Ada), Jesse (Sue), David (Susie), Thomas, Edward, and Joseph. A memorial service will be celebrated in the Spring.
