Michael A Schnurr, 70, of Fort Wayne died May 7, 2022 at Ashton Creek Health and Rehab Center, Fort Wayne, IN. Michael was born on July 6, 1951 in Fort Wayne. He was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Mike was a graduate of Central Catholic High School where he was a member of the marching band. He then graduated from Saint Francis College and was a member of Sigma Lambda Fraternity. He was a Teacher at St. Therese and then worked in Quality Control at Magnavox. He enjoyed wood working, golf, bowling, softball and the NY Yankees. Mike loved spending time with his Grandsons. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Schnurr of 48 years; daughter, Abigail K (Mitchell) McAfoose; grandsons Connor, Brayden and Parker; mother Georgeann Schnurr; six sisters, Jean Wagner, Geriann (Bill) Wohead, Barbara (Charlie) Schramm, Susie Schnurr, Mary (Skip) Fanning and Marty (Todd) Zeltwanger; two brothers, Steve Schnurr and Larry (Lora) Schnurr; Michael was preceded in death by his father Jerry Schnurr; brother Tom Schnurr; brother Inlaw Mark Wagner and stepfather Jess Keith. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am, Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 W State Blvd. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2022, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm with rosary at 6pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Queen of Angels School.
