James "Kevin" Thompson, 67, of Fort Wayne went home to our Lord in Heaven Friday, July 8, 2022. Born August 12, 1954, in Franklin, IN, he was a son of the late James and Rosemary Thompson. Kevin was an East Coast Manager at CRST, where he worked for 46 years. He was involved with his children's sporting events as a coach and a parent cheering them on to victory or consoling them in defeat. He never missed a band concert. He loved going to his grandchildren's ball games, golf was his passion, and he also enjoyed watching sports on tv. He also loved to play with the family dogs and gardening. Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Catherine; daughter, Amy (Nick) Curtis; son, Jason (Amber) Thompson; grandchildren, Grace, Jacob, Will, Lucie, Kayleigh, and Alayna; brothers, Mike (Wanda) Thompson, Steven Thompson; and nephews, Michael Thompson and Troy Long. He will always be remembered as a beloved husband, proud father, loving grandfather, devoted dog parent, and grateful co-worker. Kevin's second family was his CRST co-workers, bosses, drivers and agents. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Please feel free to dress casually. A private family memorial service will follow.
